POPPET
The word poppet is an older spelling of puppet, from Middle English poppet, meaning a small child or a doll. In folk magic and witchcraft, a poppet is a doll made to represent a person, for casting spells on that person or to aid that person through magic. These dolls are a representation of that person and any magical actions performed upon the effigy will be transferred to that person.
Magical practice is all about intent. Cast your intent upon yourself, such as healing yourself or calling love and prosperity to come to you. (When casting spells on others you will often receive unintended and undesirable results- just like wishing upon a genie). Name the doll when you ‘wake it up’. Light a candle as you instruct the doll of its job. (It's good to use a colored candle that supports your intention) Be specific. Such as if you are looking for love, ask the doll to attract the kind of lover you want in your life. You can tell it everything you want, like the kind of person they are and the way you want to be treated. Then be open to whoever shows up. It’s important that you are very clear and that you stay open to the possibilities.
When your poppet is finished with its task, thank the doll and release the spirit. Then burn, bury or toss it in a river to be carried away from you. It is advisable to bury the doll or the ashes away from your home.

Orange: creativity, strength, joy, rapid adaptation, road opening
Brown: grounding, stability, connection to nature
Purple: Wisdom, Contact with Spirits, Increased Psychic awareness
Black: repel negative energy, removal of bad habits, transfiguration
White: peace, security, truth, protection from rumors
